Since the beginning of 2021, I have created over 100 works of this kind. The paintings are made on slate stones from the Atlantic Ocean beaches in Nova Scotia, Canada. These stones have been created by glaciers, ocean waves and winds for millions of years. The shapes and reliefs on stones that I choose inspire images that I am painting with acrylic and oil paints. Each of my works is unique as there are no identical stones in nature.
